Behind the scenes of the new
House of Harlow
campaign

We shot the House of Harlow 1960 campaign at my favorite studio in Los Angeles, Milk Studios.

Music is always a starting point for the collections, so this season that translated quite literally with motifs such as guitar picks and safety pins throughout the line. When I was discussing the feeling of the campaign with the photographer, Al Silfen, we wanted to create something that was timeless but still with a rock ‘n’ roll edge.

Andy LeCompte, one of my oldest and dearest friends, did my hair. Matthew VanLeeuwen did a beautiful job with the makeup, and my longtime stylist, Cher Coulter, was there to perfect every detail.

We weren’t planning on including my dog, Iro, but he ended up stealing the show! This image of us together is one of my personal favorites.
